I had an amazing stay in a traditional Japanese guesthouse with great staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, and delicious food. The hotel facilities were well-maintained, including a great ofuro. The breakfast was a highlight, with creative and beautiful traditional Japanese dishes. The location was stunning, situated right by a temple with awe-inspiring views.
Nothing all excellent.

Nestled on the mountains of a historic temple, this ryokan will take your breath away with its stunning views of the colorful foliage. Rooms are spacious and equipped with relaxing ofuro baths. Experience traditional Japanese culture with in-room meals and a peaceful temple stroll. the serene and picturesque surroundings make for a great relaxing retreat, with easy hikes leading up to a lookout point. Don't forget to indulge in the gourmet vegan culinary delights.
The public toilets do not offer privacy, however, this is to maintain the historic charm of the building.

We went for Easter and it was not crowded at all. The team was very welcoming and accommodating, and there was plenty of parking. The location was beautiful and serene, surrounded by trees and nature. We enjoyed the hot spring baths and the meals were also delicious!
The room was a little smaller than we had expected for the price. We also had some language barriers with the staff, and it was difficult to communicate our needs or ask for recommendations. Additionally, there weren't many activities to do in the area and we felt a bit isolated.

A perfect and unforgettable weekend in a peaceful and refreshing rural retreat. the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the traditional Zen breakfast with an amazing view of the beautiful garden and the pagoda. the guest rooms were spacious and offered an excellent view of the wooded and scenic surroundings. the public toilets were very clean and spacious.
The drive up to the hotel was challenging, and the steep road could be hard to manage for some people. we had some difficulty finding the parking lot, as it was not easy to spot from the road.
